This pairing makes so much sense. I've been following She & Him sense the release of their first album and I've always thought you could hear so much of Brian's influence in their music. I remember seeing a video a few years back where Zooey got to interview Brian and I wondered how she didn't completely geek out over someone who is so obviously a hero of hers. Loved Brian's music all my life and Zooey and Matt's since they've been around. So great to see them together!

Reminiscent of the 1964 song, Girl from Ipanema. This new Brian Wilson album lacks a theme and it is a shame because the songs that are truly Wilsonesque could have been further developed. Instead we get total breaks with songs like these which is probably the best collaboration on here . Not a bad album, but lacks focus. Perhaps the project was too ambitious or just missed its mark.But with a heart and mind for music like Brian Wilson has, I'm already waiting for his next LP.But to be sure, there are some real gems on this one.
