This rare Brian Jones vocal was recorded as part of a Nicky Hopkins And Brian Jones "Rock Opera" project called Edward, The Mad Shirt Grinder. Some of the material from this project was used on the Jamming With Edward album .

Ian Stewart plays the Fender-Rhodes part. This session was recorded a night or two before Brain's death. When I remastered and organized Nicky's personal Discography Music Collection in 1976-1977, Nicky believed this was the last time all the original members of the Rolling Stones (Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Bill Wyman, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Mick Jagger) played together.

NIcky's piano mastery strongly influenced my own developing style from late 60's to today........in 2005 i was able to write and record an original tribute song for him♫

Not Brian Jones on vocal. You want to hear Brian sing? Listen to the back up vocals on I Wanna Be You're Man from 1963.

First off, this is Mick Jagger. This song "Travelin' Man" is actually a Sticky Fingers (not Exile) outtake, despite what some boots say. It was recorded in the fall of 1970. Also, that's Billy Preston on the keys, this was recorded in the same session that produced "Can't You Hear Me Knocking". Mick Taylor is killing it on lead guitar. lastly, this is playing WAY too fast....

I wouldn't rule out it being Brian. Mick and Keith could be ruled out by a machine that graphs voices. No one's done it?

Certainly not Brian. I can't hear Mick either, I'd say there's no way it's him, nor Keith as someone mentioned. No idea who would it be though.

This is an outtake from Exile On Main Street. Jones had been dead for 2-3 yrs by then.

This is most certainly not Brian singing. If anything, it sounds like a weak Mick vocal.

Is it a Fender-Rhodes? - Sounds like a Wurltzer to me...

This is not Brian on vocals, Mick Taylor is somewere around, this is the best Mach Stones ever, everything with Mick Taylor is gold,Pitty Jagger and Richard(s) didn't recognize it.They would go for a whimp like Wood. Seen them in the Hague in 76 or 77 (first stadium concert in Holland, with a bunch of Hell's Angels: Black and Blue) Stones and Wood don't fit, Even though, These boys are filthy rich and have not anything more to say. They are 2000 light years from home..

The only time I heard Brian's voice was introducing Hendrix at Monterey. He had a high voice, but this does sound like Jagger's sped up- some of the inflections are the same.
