After losing my father in law a couple of days ago, I started working on a slide show montage. I ended up using the garden as one of the songs to backdrop the photos but Bravado has always been near and dear to my heart. From the first time I heard it off my brand new CD all those years ago till now, this song has not lost its effect on me. The power of the lyrics combined with the sheer weight of skill of these three individuals makes for a truly powerful song. How many songs can make a grown man tear up? I know of three Rush songs that hit me that way one time or another in my life, Bravado, the Garden, and Time stand still (lyrics only on time stand still) These guys have moved me my entire life.
