Feelin Sillin

Brain Damage is a French dub band from Saint-Étienne. The band is made up by Martin, sound engineering, and Raphael, bass. Created in the year 1999 by two members of the dub collective and label Bangarang, Brain Damage play a very personal and particular dub music: dark, like their home city, and emotional. The band defines it like an emo-dub-ambient. On stage, Brain Damage is a very awesome sound-system in a dub bass/machine spectacular.

Also the real bassline, played by a real bassist, is the major difference with dubstep. Dubstep uses often the same effect, which does not sound as natural to me.

In the case of french dub, the main difference, is that the music is played by real musicians, not build on a software like in the case of dubstep. Brain Damage is kind of unique, because they are 2. There one bass player, and the othe guy plays with the machines (Synthesizer, effect racks, etc...). But in general, there are drummers, guitarist, bass player, synthesizer/effects, DJ, or other instruments played together. That is why it makes it very special.
