Lamarr and his long time girl broke up soon after he started Buzzcocks and he did everything in his power to protect her and keep the gossip papers off of her. I was impressed by that. Some dudes would throw the ex under a bus for the press it could generate.

but i must say i really like that lamarr is away from the public eye. he is different, he is not another ass-kisser. he is a very intelligent man and i think that, choosing to be out of the spotlight shows that.

@BrandonFTM Watch the episode of Never Mind the Buzzcxocks that Lamarr hosted where Boy George was guest. Mark Lamarr, Phill Jupitus and Sean Hughes are falling over themselves trying to impress George. It's so obvious that Mark even makes a comment about 3 straight guys vying for George's attention.

What they say about the revolting nature of the British media is very true - the papers pump out the moral high ground "drug shame" while at the same time being exactly the sort of people who do loads of coke and smoke da weed. All so that Mr and Mrs Twat of Tunbridge Wells can feel the please of tutting and head shaking while reading their Mail/Sun/News of the World etc ad nauseum. A book exposing the exposers would be great - but who would publish it and who would review it?!!!

A great vid showing the absolute postive of Mark Lamarr and Boy George. Both are immensely intelligent men who dont really get enough credit for this to them and neither get enough of an opportunity to put that over. Id take Mark Lamarr as an interviewer over any of the so-called pop stars getting chat shows like Charlotte Church and Lily Allen...
