maybe someone plays it with these chords, but john prine sure doesn't, I recommend going elsewhere for your lesson, unless you plan on butchering a classic work of art. oh yea, and if you cant play it the way it was written, don't bother, cause you suck! try watching prine play it and you will succeed!
