song, the drummer plays nicely different rhythm parts in keeping with lyrics and melody. I, since 1959, play new-orleans and dixieland jazz (tenor banjo, trombone and tuba) in Bands with a drummer. My English is poor and I has not exactly understand your comments. The first musician I look at/stare and listen is always the drummer. Between my favorite drummers are Buddy Harman, Larrie Londin (I send him Money during his health problems before he die), Jerry Carrigan, Jim Isbell, Kenneth Buttrey...As music teacher during 37 Years (college and University), the "drum work" on recording I explain and construe is : "I had to get Drunk Last Night" (composition of Rodney Crowell). i'm a drummer but i think the Grand Ole Opry were right hiding the Drums behind a Curtain..Real Country Music is about the words w/backup music not the other way round cheers Dave
