''Morning Dew", also known as "(Walk Me Out in the) Morning Dew", is a post-apocalyptic folk-rock song written by Canadian singer Bonnie Dobson in 1962, that has become a standard.

According to Dobson in a 1993 interview, "Morning Dew" was inspired by the film On the Beach.

Fred Neil heard Dobson's song and re-arranged it to suit his own style. Tim Rose heard Neil's version and then recorded his own in 1966, adding himself as co-writer. Through a loophole in US copyright law, Rose was able to claim royalties. Dobson has consistently questioned Rose's right to a co-writing credit.

We all pray that the dew never falls on us, for our kids sake. But in eastern europe the winds of war are blowing again and will we use these horrible things again?

Weird song. If "morning dew" is fallout, why does she ask to go walking in it. I'm missing something. Why make a song about nuclear war and use hidden meaning for everything? Her voice gives me chills, not in a good way. Who cares who wrote or arranged this song? I will keep on listening to Lulu, better voice/music and hidden meaning too? I don't analyse songs, I just enjoy them, who cares what they mean.

when you write something that worked for the best southern blues voice (Gregg Allman) to the Grateful Dead, to Robert Plant to Nazareth, you have some serious talent

Hi Shiver, have you ever heard Nanci Griffith, I love The Speed of the Sound of Lonelyness, I think Love at the 5 & ddime is good also

No more than you, but I think Bonnie is refering to nuclear fallout. It was on everone's mind at this time. I like the way Garcia changed the end of this song (ha was so cool)
