REVIEW OF THE BON JOVI SONG 'THE PRICE OF LOVE' FROM THE ALBUM 7800' FAHRENHEIT. REVIEW BY DANIEL THOMAS ANDREW DALY: In the end, there were 5 singles released from 7800' Fahrenheit. This might make some people question who have seen the videos for the album, but 'The Price of Love' was indeed released as a single without a video - IN JAPAN ONLY. I have a copy of the 7 inch glory, and you can still track down a decent copy online if you are willing to go search for it and pay the bucks. The Price of Love was written by Jon Bon Jovi solo, as quite a lot of the Bon Jovi songs were and are. Often Jon is all that is required for a genuine hit, as he has had plenty of great songs written by his pen alone, and this is another genuine release from the second Bon Jovi album. 'Practicing his love lies he runs to his wife'. The Price of love, obviously, is one of betrayal of the fidelity of marriage. This is a song of the risks the adulterer takes in finding that love and romance, indeed the one who takes that chance as the master of romance. It is about the 'Game' were there is no real time to consider what you are doing 'No time to wonder why' and the wife, holding the knife has 'Nobody to hear her cry'. It's a very striking image of the lusts in life, particularly prevalent then in the mid 1980s, when the adulterous affair was something everyone seemed to know about a couple, indulging in those forbidden sins. Flash forward 30 years and 'Cheaters' is common as muck - a song which was a sign of its time, but which has become oh so the trend in so many marriages which have thrown the idea of life long fidelity to a partner out the window. In a way, it shows the innocence of the age, and how 30 years later the moralists and free livving sinners have drifted that much further apart, that much more of a contrast in the lives of people who have a free spirit, compared to those they think are indoctrinated by parents, priests and pastors - the religious elite. The Price of Love remains an eternally relevant song for those who have convictions of fidelity to a marriage partner, and shows the 'Rush' involved when you take those steps, but also the pain it can cause as well. Musically its a great rock song, and good enough for Japanese release as a single. A video in the theme of the others from this album would have been great, but financial and time constraints at that time made it a no goer. But its a great rock song, full of passion and life, one of the hits from 7800' Fahrenheit, and I give it 9 out of 10. Daniel Thomas Andrew Daly

The Price of love was released as a single in Japan only. I don't think it had an accompaniment video.

This song is FUCKING MAGICAL, I adore it<3 The music is so adorable and...all the song is wonderful<3 I`m so sad cuz the albums '7800º Fahrenheit' and 'Bon Jovi' weren't popular, I think all those songs are gorgeous<3 But, yet I listen those songs 'cause they're what I call MUSIC, and... simply, they're the best for me<3 Love you, Bon Jovi, forever<33333333

I truly begrudge all those who had a honor to live in 80s/90s. It makes me deeply sad that I can't be even at one Bon Jovi gig. I know they're playin' but it is not the same... Bon Jovi rocks! Guns N' Roses rocks! Skid Row rocks!

My Daughter Jordyn has jammed with Metallica dozens of times and simply blown their minds!! She will be featured on a new song shortly tearing upa mind bending solo!! This will be extremely cool for her and me!! this will certainly debut her talents to the world from old to young!! This is partly why we havent posted her on u tube so far. Mostly because its so amazing people would say it must be fake. This exposer will certainly get the word out about her and what we 80s rockers want to hear now

Remember this name !! Jordyn Kaylynn Alexander !! She is so ridiculously good you will hear her very soon. I went to school with the new bass player of Metallica and actually played in a band with him in high school for 3 years before he took off to england after high school to follow his dream. It was obvious then how good robert was then and it was an honor for him to carry our band back then and give me a chance to be a rock star myself for a short period!!

There have been quite a few boys and men who have stoped playing the guitar after she has torn them up and blown their minds. It has left them wandering why they even play at all knowing they will never reach her level. Richie and 80s music has inspired my daughter to become the worlds greatest hard rock guitar players ever male or female!! Her dream is to be the one to bring the 80s style rock solos back to us all!! ALTHOUGH SHE IS MY DAUGHTER AND IM VERY PROUD she truly is friggen amazing!!

She normally plays 4 to6 of his solos in a continuous loop during these contests and the judges and other competitors are blown away and blown up when she is done blasting out these riffs especially when she grabs the tremelo bar and starts bendinding that and their minds at the same time!! Its truly something that needs to be seen to be believed!! I will be posting some of these performances shortly for your enjoyment.

I have 2 daughters that both play also. They are 10 and 12 years old. I have introduced my daughters to the 80s music and they are so hooked!! My 12 year old Jordyn is absolutly amazing!! though she loves many of the 80s guitar players richie has become by far her favorite. She has spent more than 3 years learning many of his best riffs note for note!! she has excellent equiptment and knows how to use it. She has entered and won numerous guitar center competitions around the United States

I was lucky enough to alive and young during the 80s and though i liked so many hard rock bands back then Bon Jovi was just so much better than all of them especially live!!! I played guitar in a rock band in the 80s when i was 16, 17,and 18. I was always searching for a style and riffs to inspire my own solos. I loved Eddie Van Halen like all other guitar players but he was hard to copy and everyone was doing that. Richie wasa different and amazing live.!!

7800 Farenheit fue el mejor álbum musicalmente hablando de Bon Jovi.Sin Desmond Child,y el Bon Jovi más original de todos los tiempos.El malditismo comercial lo tiró abajo.Hay joyas impresionantes ahí.
