If you guys really wanna see the song performed the old "fiery" way =) check out the youtube video someone posted of the super rock 1984 performance in Tokyo. He hits the really high notes at the end just like on the original recording. The difference is quite stark.

heh, almost 20 years and people are still pissed he sold out to pop! Me, I'll always be a fan. I bought the Bon Jovi album (on cassette) back in the 80's when I was just a kid and kept right on buying their stuff. Just went to see him live two days ago. Awesome show! I'll admit, it would've been nice to hear him sing this song with the real high notes he used to hit back when he wrote it. noone stays young forever though. Hope I have his energy when I hit 50.
