This is one of the best lp's Darin ever put out that's for sure. singing with mercer is just extraordinary, but I believe your turn table or player is just a bit fast. Not too much but maybe a half step. I'll check it out and let you know for sure

This is the best song on a wonderful album. No joking around, just great singing and arrangements :)

This is great - never heard it before - the thing about Johnny Mercer's voice is that it hardly changed over the years, he sounds like he did in 1940

Yes the 4th gentleman is my father Marshall Robbins - he was Johnny's music publisher and business partner for over 25 years

If it was part of the extra tracks that didn't make the cut for this album, I believe the additional tracks were lost in a fire at the ATCO archive.

Wonderful Album and great song. I'd love to have the other songs from this album on YouTube as well. Any chance of that happening?? Bobby and Johnny really had a lot of fun recording it. In the photo you have here I recognize Bobby, Dick Berhke and Johnny Mercer, but not the gentleman standing behind Dick. Does anyone else know who the 4th man is??

Thanks for this -- I have it on The Darin - Mercer: Two of A Kind CD -- Great. I used to hear on the radio Mercer and Darin doing "Up A Lazy River" --- "from the halfway mark!" I've never found it on CD. Do you know if it's available?
