I believe an Uncle, through marriage, wrote the lyrics to this song about my step-aunt.He had written the lyrics for his own band, of which he was the drummer, who parted ways. He passed the lyrics on to one of the drummers of Blue Rodeo (I don't recall who), whom he was friends with, along with the lyrics to Already Gone (which he had titled Say You Don't See) and said they could use them if they liked them as long as he received credit.In the credits (I've never been able to confirm this) on Lost Together (tape/cd?) there allegedly appears the term "Play it again Sam", a quote from the movie Casablanca. This was the band's nod to my Uncle, named Sam.

if we are really lost together, who leads, and who follows? sounds like we need to make an investment in a real high tech GPS. no, i get what it is and blue rodeo is one of my favorite bands of all canadian time. love everything they do and remember the Horseshoe Tavern as if it was yesterday.......and the hot dog cart out front....mmmmmmmm good!!!!!:)
