spot on, I don't think he has made it public, there is a video of him on here doing a busking session on a London underground train and he sounds great but is not hitting any high notes with power, shame, like anyone doing to much, your gonna bust your best tool to some point

You're exactly right. Too much power singing and not treating his voice as the delicate instrument that it is. You can tell from old live videos where his veins are popping out of his neck because he's not breathing correctly when he's trying to hit the high notes. All that unnecessary straining was just so he could stand out from the other guys and it clearly worked for a while but without proper diet, no smoking/drinking and regular vocal exercises even the best voice will fail you.

to much power singing messed his voice up I think, it happens a lot to singers, Elton john had to learn to sing again, lee ryans has obviously gone, he cant get the big notes again, peter andre showed in his tv show that he was made to learn to sing again because he was creating growths on his voice box, scar tissue I think.

Surgery ruined his voice and his trying his best.That's exactly what has happened to me except that I didn't have surgery. He probably had vocal problem problems before and those stayed.You can clearly see it that he knows how to sing but his doesn't allow him to do so.
