I saw bloem life in my cafe (de roemer in Haarlem) in the 90ties for the first time. She was 18 years old...with her gitar....went on the stage and started singing. I was working behind the bar...almost dropped my glasses. Wow! As a big bjork fan...instandly i loved her voice. She dont copy bjork....she has a simmilar voice. I bought her record ZINK.....and i still listen to it....wonderful....bloem i hope you are fine....your a great singer.

I'm a big Björk fan; just heard bom bom and couldn't cope with the emotion of hearing another voice like Björk's. So I did a search of Bloem de Lingny to comment on the first video, and there was you, I'm not the only one! It's uncanny! it could pass as an old Björk demo. I hope the comparison doesn't affect Bloem's career, though. I don't feel she's copying Björk, but they share the same type of uncommon voice, and there is a rawness and joy of pop that certainly likns them even more.
