My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. This happened right after she had brain surgery for the uncontrollable epilepsy that she has had all of her life. Right when she thought that she was in the clear, right when she thought she could live her next 50 years pain free, the doctors tell her that she has a year to live. Why God? Why would you do this to a person who has suffered all her life? Why would you put her through this trial? Hasn't she been through enough already?The only answer that I can come up with is that this is not a normal sickness. This is something that is supposed to be a testimony to God. I don't know why God chose my family to go through something like this but I thank him because God only chastises those he loves. I had long ago promised that I would do anything for his glory.When you give your life away to God don't expect an easy ride. It will be the hardest and most wonderful thing you will ever experience. The trials of this life are truly mercies in disguise because through it all God holds us in the palm of his hand and says, "Don't worry. I am with you." Even if you can't see the whole picture he is still there just waiting for you to say, "I trust you."I hope this brings someone some faith today. Give him all the glory!
