I was @ the Capitol Theatre in NYC in 1981 & Blackfoot opened for Def Leppard for their High & Dry tour. Great Show! Blackfoot as I recall, was doing their Marauder album @ the time. Good times & Blackfoot rocked!

I concur, they did. That's unfortunately the only time I saw them. Me and my best mate at the time went for Blackfoot ! But there's too much blues in their music to pass as HM IMHO !

I saw Blackfoot blow other bands off the stage in the early 80's. They were a blistering bad-ass hard rock band. I wish Rickey would ditch Skynyrd, maybe bring Gary Rossington with him and reform Blackfoot now. Although, I love Gary but I'm not sure if he'd have the energy to keep up in Blackfoot...!

@19dinq64 Ah yes. Wot a day. To think most of the music press ignored us all back then. They were awesome live. Jackson spires drumming still rattles in my skull. Wot rain. heh heh. Nice memories though.

I saw em open for meatloaf in Ft.Myers Fl. back in 93' The meat was a no show so Blackfoot played an extra long set and I tell ya it sticks out in my memory as one great performance they are southern hard rock not southern rock,they kicked so much it's not funny and the drum solo was awesome.Blackfoot southern rock on roids!

blackfoot was always too hard to be just labeled as souther rock,,to me they were a southern rock band ,but a souther rock band that incorporated elements of heavy metal specially on their last albums. this song kick ass...
