I see no mention of Carl Palmer and Phil Ehart.There are so many drummers who had great style and flair. Some were technically proficient while some were more groove oriented. Put the two together and you get a complete drummer. Dave Weckl or Jeff Porcaro. Even Peter Criss was a great drummer for what he did in KISS especially some of their older material. Just depends on what the music needs ... a great drummer knows his place and his strengths so he will play to that level. Moon wasn't technically proficient as say, Neil Peart but he out on a helluva show. But Bill Ward, whom I grew up listening to, at the time was one of those drummers who could really play well ... both with a technical proficiency and a groove. He had great dynamics and flair. IMHO
