what a beautiful re-tweak of Dancing Cheek to Cheek! My Belgian music expert says the 'bright' piano sound was Jankowski's hallmark & that it got even brighter on successive albums. Bass player Ladi Geissler was from the Sudetenland, which Hitler annexed in 1939. Geissler was immediately conscripted into the Luftwaffe where he was just as immediately shot down. As an Allied POW for over 5 years he practiced his guitar daily & even learned to build his own amps after the war. Amazing man! chuck
