Happy Coffee Day!I enjoy a fresh Dark Roast, brewed in a French Press. No one does "Black Coffee" better than Ella Fitzgerald.Re-POST: My coffee making story that brings me joy.For me, it’s early in the morning, just around sunrise. I quietly creep into the kitchen, open the air tight porcelain coffee container filled with fresh roasted beans. I only scoop enough coffee to grind for one mug. I try to muffle the coffee grinding sound to avoid awaking the natives.The aroma is intoxicating, filling the atmosphere, awaking all my pleasure sensors and sometimes, the natives (smile). I love the crunchy sound when scooping up the freshly ground coffee as I pour the coffee into a sparkling clean French press. I prefer brewing coffee in boiled filtered or spring water between 195F (91C) and 205F (96C) for four minutes.The alarm sounds, down goes the coffee press plunger...then like a skilled flying trapeze artist I pour the coffee from the ceiling so that it will crash into the a perfectly clear mug like a tidal wave, this is what activates all the flavor molecules...ahhhhh so much joy from the aroma and the anticipation of the first sip.Finally, I sit in my favorite chair next to a slightly open window to the melodies of the bird symphony orchestra just outside the window. They perform original soundtracks every morning, rain or shine.This is my secret place. ‪#‎happystory‬ #NationalCoffeeDay
