NZ's pre-eminent guitarist Billy TK first came to public attention circa 1971 with his unusual pyschedelic stylings on Human Instinct's legendary Stoned Guitar album which was recorded at Eldred Stebbing's famed Herne Bay studios. As his popularity increased Billy TK tapped into his own cultural roots to forge his unique style of music - a pioneering Maori musician who's music remains relevant and still resonates today
