Seems we have two things in common, Our love for good music and the fact that we were both at Hunter AFB at the same time. Wish I had those days back. I agree with the person that said'we should be born old and die young'. What I could do now with what I know. Back then we took so much for granted and it never lasted.

dear "alive" been there from a female standpoint- 30 yrs. later he called-we're still talkin'-old memories from his past broke us up- he walked-both married0both partners passed-calls every night 600 miles away.(3 yrs now-) spent 10 days together last year--BUT--guess what?? NADA-this fantasy would have been disaster for me.still friends-but no apology-The one that walks away is doing you a FAVOR- (you'll find out ) love is a circle-keep on living it. a grey eagle

@TheSilveroak1 That's so cool!! I don't know if you remember Link Wray...but I saw him in a real sleazy Washington, DC bar in the mid to late 70s and he was just a mess....drugs and/or alcohol in control and he was playing for chump change. So sad when you see your idols go downhill...be it age or life. Thank you for commenting!!

I can't believe I still shed a tear now and again after all this time. I have not been able to move on because I have this habit of comparing everyone to her. Wrong to do but...... I don't always feel sorry for myself....just in those moments. You are very kind.
