Thanks for posting this I remember it well. My much loved late sister was a big fan of his and was sweet enough to take her pest of a little brother to any movie starring Billy and other artists of the time. It brings a smile with a tear, but some things and some people were too good to lie forgotten.

Thanks for all your lovely replies.I forgot to say that my father moved to Tiverton after Newton Abbot (due to his police officer career) so I was in Tiverton & went to college there; learnt shorthand & typing.So you're in the Philippines! Wow, lovely! I read on the Mail Online recently that Ikaria (a Greek island) is a place where the occupants live to be in their late 90's or early 100's. So I thought that would be a good place to live! I went to Greece once; it's lovely! Take care Carl.

Thanks for your response to my Billy Fury comment. I have a Billy Fury on my Facebook; not sure who that could be but it has Billy's lovely photo. I have a CD with all his songs; it's great. So you are in North Devon now; very nice. I was born in South Wales but my family and I moved to Dawlish for a while, when I was 2 years old, then we moved to Exmouth for about 6 years; then we moved to Newton Abbot as my Dad was a police officer. My grandparents moved from Wales to Torquay forever.
