It's quite a thing when you hear this song, then you go on to read the book, and little by little as you advance you begin to understand the context of the lyrics. Fantastic song and book, right among my favourites. Shame about the ending tho, but I guess it just wasn't gonna end any other way.

ben doesn't use a capo often, so it makes it fairly easy to just dick off until you figure the chords. turn up the laptop and play over it until something fits.

I couldn't agree with you more! Faulkner too is just brilliant, The Sound and The Fury is one of my favourite books ever. Blood Meridian is there, too. It's just too good, by the end of it I was in disbelief how anyone can write like that. What a book.
