Hahah, it's funny to see a car made in Russia (VAZ 2106) with registration number 21 RUS which stands for Tchuvashskaya Republic, it makes you feel even more to be a part of a global village.

@supermario493 gypsy brass bands have derived their music from Serbian brass bands that began playing brass music during the first Serbian uprising and Balkan wars due to lack of traditional instruments during war time. gypsies are not a working bunch in the Balkans and readily take up musicianship so they embraced this music. still Serbian in origin and so nothing to do with Turks, Indians or Russians. yes it has evolved and has other influences incorporated (especially when it is played by gypsies as they do sound different to (ethnically) Serbian brass bands - they have slight melodies of Turkish or middle eastern music) but a complete faux pas on the behalf of the band to name it Bratislava and not Belgrade. simply because this sort of music is not heard in Bratislava but is inseparable from Serbian music culture. good music nevertheless.

all of you talking about middle eastern music obviously don't know what middle eastern music sounds like. this has various mixtures of music genres, least of which is middle eastern and it mostly sounds uniquely Serbian, or Balkan. Turkish music doesn't sound like this. certain bits here and there but when you listen to this it has a very idiosyncratic sound not found in the middle east. and this is nothing like Slovak, Polish or Russian music. please get cultured. bear in mind Beirut is an American band so it is not limited to using only Balkan music so there could well be Roma, Turkish, Russian etc music in their work. not in this song though (bar slight middle eastern sounds here and there, only discernable to a well trained ear, like around 2:30).

I feel like growing a burly mustache and holding a shotgun.

The song intro kinda reminds me of the 'overly manly man' meme.

I know it's not, but it always sounds like a song that would be played before Ottamon or Greek resistance warriors exert themselves into battle

Bratislava by Beirut = Capital of Slovakia by Capital of Lebanon. I find this odd.
