I have read a million reviews regarding all the features about this board. I have yet to see a review describing the SOUND of this board. I know it has Midas pres, but for me shouldn't the first factor of buying a board be how it sounds? Who cares if it has a phone holder? What are musicians saying about the monitor mix of this? How are the effects? Do you as engineers find it's easy to trouble shoot once you know your way around the board?

Our company uses Midas Pro2, Digico SD9 and Yamaha LS-9 and CL series consoles. But many shows and clients don't need the expensive desks.. So we use the X-32 a lot and never have noise or operational problems. Every time we get happy clients. And the talent on stage is very happily surprised that their excellent sounding monitors come from a dreaded Behringer product. The haters are just closed minded fools. And the sales of the X32 prove it.

Just a point of fact, it actually has a six band para EQ on each channel, not four. You press both the buttons together to access the last two bands.

So if I wanna record to my DAW would I get all independent channels or just left and right from the main outputs?

Definitely a concern of mine... I've spent thousands on Behringer equipment and ended up SOL!

Don't they expect using a decent portion of the board to hold a non essential item automatically makes their product look unprofessional? Overall impressed with it being Behringer's first real addition to the small digital mixer world, but come on!

Thanks for the kind words & I agree on the not bashing, but that also goes on not bashing gear just because it's made by a particular maker. I can afford to buy anything my clients need & so my fav gear is the one that makes my client smile, say thanks, and happy to pay. I've spent "top $" on top gear, & at times, they still suck. All makers make good & bad gear. Cheers to you my new friend! Hope your future gigs are trouble free!

By the way, yes I have watched your videos on your channels, and they are pretty helpful! Nice work. But, I have never seen you using any behringer gear...and I think, we should stop hating around here O.o I mean, WHY? Maybe you Like a BMW and someone else likes Mercedes, or lives his VW Golf? It is a point of taste, in some way For me, it is not so important, to fuck around much with my desk, just plug in adjust a little, and play.

And noise? Everyone in the audience, every none experienced rookie can hear rushing noises!? Well, I guess you are a "qualified pro" so, there is nothing I can tell you...

Did they?

You totally stuck your foot in your mouth with this post. For starters, Digital mixing and Analog mixing are not even close to one another. With Digital mixing, your sonic qualities are effected by pres and AD/DA converters until effects are involved. With analog mixing, all of the circuitry in the mixer has a drastic effect on the sound. Secondly, when behringer bought midas, there was the stipulation that behringer step up their game to meet midas' quality level.

So I correct my statement. you are not a snob, just an inexperience person making comments on something they clearly are not qualified to comment on, which goes back to my original statement. Its fine to be a simply musician, but don't speak about build quality, noise floor, etc, until you are properly trained professional. Sound checks for qualified pros do not take long cause they have the experience & knowledge to combat poor rooms. now please stop bashing products. you're not qualified.

We have one of these "Yamaha MG 166CX" and at home I like to use a small Allen & Heath ZED 14, I tried a "Phonic AM something" and I "tried" to use a beringer... but there was so much noise, so we lent a ZED 22FX from a old teacher of mine. Maybe I haven´t had so many mixers in live situations, but so far I can say, the best experience was a Allen&Heath Mixer. ( And yes, I have never used a digital mixing desk)

I am not a sound enginieer, "just" a simlpe musician. Maybe my band and me are "sound snobs" cause we are doing long sound checks and every sound onstage has so sound great. And maybe, just because I am a musician, not a engineer, I can truely tell you, that a mixer has to be tough, and easy to use, in my opinion, and it has to sound great, with no noise or anything.

i've toured with digico 5's, avid's digital desks, yamaha M7's, I use an ls9 everyday for my corporate. before digital, I owned and used Midas XL4's, Heritage 3K's, before Yamaha 3 & 4K's, so inspite of your assumptions, I have owned and toured many large scale consoles. I'm also a dealer for soundcraft, love the SI desks, but realize that the x32 is not a toy either. Deal with facts not ego's.

actually smart ass, I own several high end consoles since I'm a touring engineer & own a production company. I've toured with, owned, & teched just about every major brand console out there both digital and analog. I'm not a sound snob like most engineers out there. I realize my clients have different budgets so I supply them based on their budgets and not the ego's of engineers like you. I'm gonna guess that you are one of those who suggests but doesn't have 2cents to buy gear yourself.

Think you never used anything else, right? Like Allen & Heath, or some quality type of mixer? Try that, and "Shut the hell up"

I guess we can expect more stupid comments from stupid people. That's the problem with ignorant people. They are too stupid to shut up. If you don't like behringer, great. Then just shut the hell up. I've been running my DDX3216 since 2003 and its been flawless! Everyone loves my mixes! Not a single build issue. Was able to pay my mortgage from using it! The price for the x32 is excellent considering the Yamaha LS9 is 3x the price and much harder to run & config. Just wish it was 96khz.
