The hilarious irony, Kanye admits he had no clue who Beck was..later though, he concedes after listening to some tracks that it sounded pretty good. Beck was an accomplished artist BEFORE Morning Phase, do your homework, and ignorance can be avoided.

i've been listening to this album, and song in particular, since he performed on the colbert report. i miss when the comment section wasnt full of people trying to make a statement by listening to this, and was just people who appreciate beck as an artist. promise most of you didnt even care about beck and his work until kanye's comment. which i guess isnt the worse thing.

Anyone who listens to Waking Light and actually hears it couldn't question the position of this album in music history. Of course it's fine not to like it, but anyone who doesn't appreciate its abject beauty and little intricacies, or feel the drive and commitment behind it just doesn't understand music. Took 3 weeks, for Kanye to render a semi apology for his Grammy assinine stunt and remarks via twitter. I guess the back lash was hurting his miserable career, otherwise why so long? Sure doesn't seem sincere. But at last he somewhat realized his incidious blunder.

This is a great album. Although I'm familiar with Beck I haven't heard this album until all the noise at the grammys. Thanks Kanyeezy for making me look at it. It was a justifiable win I must say. I'm not a huge Beyonce fan. I thinks she can sing but clearly overshadowed by pop production packaging.
