@wartree Pretty much, yeah. I mean, compare the progressions in punk to say, jazz or tech-metal and you'll see. Another thing is improv. There's hardly any improv in punk because not many punk musicians are very good at it - it requires theoretical knowledge of music. And I'm probably going to get flamed all the way to hell here, but Paramore seem to be better versed in musical theory than BYOP. I like BYOP infinitely more though; just saying. After all you only need 'three chords and the truth'
