La primera versión, justo antes de sacar el álbum Bathory, para este momento tenia los 3 integrantes, no solo Quorton como sería en el resto de la historia de Bathory.

To my ears sounds very 'rockin' actually, even though its considered extreme. As people have mentioned, definitely a hint of Motorhead. Underrated to say the least.

Agreed, also what is weird, is the debut had a black metal sound but this version is more of a speed metal sound.

Well since Quorthon started playing guitar at age 16, he was very young when he wrote and recorded this song. I heard somewhere the first song he wrote was reaper. Dont know if thats true but ohwell.

Quorthon was working for the label that released "SMA" and they were able to record the two songs for free in a professional studio. All the subsequent recordings were done at "Heavenshore Studio", which was basically a makeshift DIY operation in a garage.

I like the 2nd wave of BM (Norvegian) but it turned bad after 1997: Dimmu Borgir was better before the release of Spiritual Black Dimensions, Kovenant was better when it named with "C" than a "K", Ulver was so much great before their release of Themes from William Blake's The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. Well, it was in that time when BM started to be "mainstream".
