Beautiful song, and incredibly emotional with the footage of the Berliners and the Wall.

Yes, the song was definitely dedicated to him, but the "BJH Story" book says that he was killed in a car crash in Germany.

The "concert for the people" was just the name for the one Berlin concert with the Reichstag just behind... perhaps people are putting up footage from other concerts with the wrong title. They also did a 1987 concert at Treptower Park in East Berlin, that was released as a video under the name "Glasnost"

My brother educated me with this song 25 years ago.....only now really understanding what it means.......only 4685 people have viewed it to date which explains why the world is in the mess it's in.....anyway, I love this song, I love my brother and I love the world.....one day it will all come good and we will all live the way we are supposed to....if anyone see's this please go read a Neale Donald Walshe book....it will light you up.....much love....

@Bislindo ;) When you have wrote this message, YT removed my first channel... because of copyright, lol.... Anyway, you're welcome... Let the music keep our spirits high ♫♪♫♪♫

@TheMusicFan34 Hello Yes, you are right. The YouTube people sometimes erase videos because of the copyright. No problem. This live version that you've posted here will do just fine! And if you don't mind I'm going to listen to this lovely song again. ;-)

@Bislindo Hi Thanks for your comment ;) I have the CD "Turn Of The Tide" and I remember I listened it everyday when I was younger, but I will not post this song (studio version), because of copyright... I've posted "The Ultimate Anthology" with my first account, it's a great concert too ;)

Thank you for posting this wonderful song. I have it in vinyl (LP) and already very used. A few years ago there was the album version of this song with a presentation from a girl/woman here in YouTube, but not anymore. I often sing this song and if you do have the album version please post it here (you can use the Movie Maker and just import the picture of the CD/LP). Well, maybe I'm teaching the teacher. Again, thank you for the lovely song.

A brilliant dedication to those who fell at the Berlin Wall - still as relevant today. Am I right in thinking the song, on the original studio album, was dedicated to British soldier Philip Ireland who was killed in Northern Ireland? His brother Ian went to our school in Oldham.
