Agreed! So many of my friends who are symphonic metal/black metal and so on have never even heard of these guys. This bar I go to has a metal night once a week and the guy who hosts it has 2 of their albums and I always request Bal-Sagoth... :p

how can a person enjoy and appreciate the lyrics of this ballad if they are hardly audible and incoherent. The instrumental is ok, yet it feels as though it needs to have better vocal to be an amazing song.

they were one of the first, but there are others that sound like them, like blind guardian, wintersun, rhapsody of fire and old ensiferum. Jari Maenpaa from wintersun and ensiferum was heavily influenced by these guys.
