I love AWB and I just can't get enough of Hamish. Loved him with Paul McCartney. I have to say that He brought a lot of soul to many of the songs that he sang with Paul McCartney. Check out "This One." Paul McCartney- This One (1989) Session.

I do believe it to be true and who's to say that information would be included in that particular bio? Parliament/Funkadelic considered themselves to be more "funk" than "r & b" which is still in the "soul" realm. Of course this video clip is from "Soul Train" so what sense does it make to say you're not an "r & b"/"soul" band and you're performing on an "r & b"/"soul" dance show? One thing your are right about....disco did put the hurt on a lot of these bands.

Never heard that, don't believe that's true, since I have AWB best of CD, reading the band's bio and it doesn't mention anything about the band saying that. Let's not forget, there were some black bands/groups (like Parliment/Funkadelic for example) who also, didn't consider themselves an "R&B" band either back in the day. If AWB and other bands (both black & white) record sales supposedly "took a downward spiral" it was because of the disco craze, that was emerging in the mid to late 70s.

This is just badass music. Brings back so many good memories. AWB was such a talented band and still is. So much soul and funky as hell. Love it!
