История замечательной британской группы Atomic Rooster, неразрывно связана с именем одного из лучших виртуозов "хаммонда" Винсента Крейна (1943- 1989), который до создания AR, успел поиграть в Crazy World Of Arthur Broun. Кто-то из критиков метко окрестил их музыку "Black Sabbath для интеллектуалов". К сожалению нестабильность состава, постоянно преследовала группу. Состав Винсент Крейн - клавишные, Джон Дю Кэнн - гитара и вокал, Пол Хэммонд - ударные, записал лучшие на мой взгляд альбомы. Знакомый многим меломанам по обложке с репродукцией картины "Навуходоносор" Death Walks Behind You (1970) и In Hearing Of Atomic Rooster (1971)...

It was born in the 70's surely. They say Black Sabbath is the "father" of Doom, I see they have it surely. But this feels a bit more like it. This song almost feels more like Reverend Bizarre or Saint Vitus to me. Anyway, almost more of a Doom vibe here than Sabbath. Those are the opinions from a random unimportant man though.

Yah no shit i knew Vincent Crane was dead shortly after i discovered who he was the depressed genius that he was. I just found out about John Ducann a few months ago. Also i just found out last night that the drummer Paul Hammond is dead. There will never be an Atomic Rooster reunion. I love their first two albums im torn as to what one i like more. Maybe the first because of there is lots of the Hammond B3!!!!!!!
