To be fair, Metallica's earlier releases are legendary for a reason. However, those days are LONG gone. People don't hate Metallica because it's "cool" to hate them. They hate Metallica because they loved Metallica so much before they changed, and they feel betrayed.

Just to clarify - Metallica are still around because they make big fucking bucks, and likely for no other reason. And actually Assassin are still around, because they dig making good tunes and don't make shit off it. It is 'cool' to hate on Metallica these days, but there are still plenty of reasons for people to hate them lol.
