JP should start his own band without the Asia name. Call it JOHN PAYNE BAND or JPP (JOHN PAYNOE PROJECT) and I think he would earn more respect and probably get better live shows.

@richiefromblackout Sounds like Eflat ... 1 step higher than the Aqua album version (Dflat) ... which on the album you can really hear him straining to get down there, in the beginning, to the low parts .. So I'm not surprised. I thought this was one of the kooler songs from the Aqua album ... along with "Don't Call Me", and "Someday"

Payne is phantastic! One of the best singers today I think! And Asia NEVER ran out of ideas!!! I think they were more creative with payne - but the "original Asia" is still a great group!

Great song, better than the album version. JP may not be in Asia, but his value to he band is as great as Wetton's, Does anyone know which key is he playing it? His tuning seems quite peculiar, although I can make most of the chords ...

Thats the problem when trying to replace someone like that... it just doesnt work unless its a perfect match. Wettons voice was so powerful, and meshed so well, its just ir-replacable!

To all you Payne-haters out there: You are gaylords. Is John Payne perfect? No. I don't like his vocals on most of Aqua, nor his style with the top hat and everything. But I at least have respect enough to listen closely to the man's work when he's put his blood, sweat and tears into it, and improved as a singer and lyricist as the years went on. John Wetton is amazing...my favorite singer. But his songwriting and singing aren't what they used to be. And he can be a total primadonna.

Wetton is classic Asia,he is one of the most talented musicians evr,please lets not forget his credentials: King Crimsom,U.k , the Asia debut album. Now Payne is amazing too,he can sing classic Asia songs as well as his own stuff.Particularly i love this beautiful song from Aqua,it blows me away every time. Does anyone knows what happened to al Pitrelli? his guitar playing is Aqua is outstanding as well. Peace

HE has better voice than Wetton! Yesterday Wetton failed a lot! Well he is also a great singer but now he is too weak to sing.And I am wondering Why Wetton hates John? - Maybe because of the unique songs which Asia and John made together or....
