Definitely one of their best songs, all periods together. Silent Nation is probably my favourite Asia album since the first... No album featuring Wetton since then has equalled this. It's got a nice diversity, some depth, and a kind of seriousness that the band never had in the first years. I think John Payne has put a lot of himself into this one, which sounds not so far from the great GPS album that he would release two years later.... I'm still longing for a follow-up to this....

@sct353 Disagree ... that would be the 2nd to last track, "Darkness Day" .. Unbelievable vibe to that one. Also really liked to title track, and "Ghost In the Mirror" ... couldn't stand the 1st track. Like the verses in this .. but not crazy about the chorus; something sounds sloppy, I can't quite put my finger on it

Best track on the last Downes/Payne Asia album. I love the way the song peters out and then strikes up an extended instrumental break. Reminds me of the 80s 12" singles.

I love the haunting, dreamy quality of this song. And that acoustic guitar and keyboards at the end are so cool.
