My first steps back upon familiar ground,

lead me to the place that I called home

for so long my dreams have been filled with images

of blackened canvases

and broken palettes

this brush will stroke the sky and line with white

and i will make my way

my way through to you

But the closer we get

the further we fall

if we could just resolve this mess that we're in

then maybe we could call this (home again)

this bridge crumbles beneath my feet

falling faster as i run towards the end.

my pleas are heard only by the walls you've caved me in

so long since we've spoke

and despite our silence, you invade my dreams

twisting them until you're in control
