The album was released May 13, 2005, and Arly's second solo album recorded in Nashville. As last, producer Tom Holland and technician Mark Moseley, and also many of the same musicians as on the previous album "Country Home". "Sweet Honky Tonk" also includes two duets, one with Pat Roden (USA), "If Teardrops Were Pennies" and one with Pauline Reese (USA), with her own "One Less Honky Tonk". Pat Roden also sang a duet with Arly on previous Album "Country Home" with the song "Please Do not Stop Loving Me". It was No. 1 for six straight weeks on the European CMA Chart List!
