Sabbath is the chief pioneer of early Trad/Doom. Listen to 'Black Sabbath' and try and tell me early Sabbath didn't incorporate heavy elements of what was later called Doom Metal. They are 'Traditional' or just plain 'Heavy' metal according to actual genre definitions, though. All you need to do is listen to Witchfinder General's 'Death Penalty'. It's basically Sabbath worship.
