It's all about getting a reaction from the audience positive or negative. It's comparible to listening lyrics about extreme gore and sexual violence. You don't that seriously so why take this so seriously?

Death Metal is over-flowing with grossly misogynistic (Disgorged "she lay gutted"), and genocidal content (do you need an example?). Albeit, most often fairly vague as to the recipient of their vitriol ("her", "bitch", "the human populace"). It's also rife with historical theme and content (WW2, Roman Empire). Arghoslent chose to focus on this dark, particularly recent historical atrocity of white merchants enslaving African people for gain. If you take a step back and consider these points, Arghoslent is not performing very far out of the realm of shocking, or dark subject matter you find in Death or Black Metal. I find it fascinating and don't 100% buy that these guys are 100% ignorant white supremacists. And the music rips.

Why are you surprised? I'm a National Socialist who is actively involved in nationalist politics and I can tell you from personal experience that almost every single like-minded person I have ever met has been against slavery. The Trans-Atlantic slave trade was responsible for introducing primitive savages to western civilization; the children of those slaves have caused us endless troubles since their ancestors were brought to our shores.

@DemilichFan you know, I have to amend this statement slightly. I mentioned Arghoslent's 'politics', but actually they are not in the slightest bit political. They don't hold any NS or white supremacist beliefs, they support no political organizations, and buying their records does not contribute one penny to white nationalist groups. Taboo, yes, but they are not in any way white supremacists.

I love this band. Always have. And GBK was the band that got me into extreme music. As for their politics, I don't care. That's because I'm white. If blacks and jews don't like it, then they can say whatever they want, but I have no reason to take up their fight. I think that's what's wrong with political correctness: it's a standard moral code that must be conformed to in all public places. The highest aspiration is inoffensiveness. Arghoslent exists for one reason - to offend.

Agreed. Racist or not, LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!!. That's what matters, not their lyrics. You would hardly be able to understand what they said by just listening. So really, enjoy this. It's the SHIT. And anyone else agree that the riff starting at 1:14 is one of the best? Fuckin epic.
