The history around this song is incredible. When Carol King stared she was a writer in a NYC song writer sweat shop where she could write music for other musicians in the city. One her day to lunch, the head man stopped Carol King and asked her to write a song for a woman that was a solo and it was about a natural man. Carol quickly changed the lyrics to You make Me Feel Like a Woman for the infamous Aretha Franklin and this is where this song was born. Shortly thereafter, Carol King produced her own album and went on tour. She was, reportedly shy, and although singing was her passion performance meant something to be desired. Ladies and Gentleman ~ the one and only Carole King!

The only person Aretha didn't sing over was Shania - because she knew better, She was screaming through Mariah's part, Gloria's part, Céline's part and she stole Carole's part - Shania was the only one who you got to hear a clear performance from because she's the true star of the show, and if anyone paid attention to the quality of the music rather than Céline and Aretha trying to go one better on each other, more people would realise that Shania Twain without it even being gestured can be looked upon as the star of this performance.
