Since *Whitney* passed I've been feeling drawn to appreciate some of our legends while they're still here..this early demo of *Aretha* doing "I Never Loved A Man.." is amazing, just the drums accompanying young Aretha's voice and piano. If I'm not mistaken this was the first song Aretha did in her very first session at Muscle Shoals studio, imagine how all the session players there felt when this young woman they'd never seen before sat down at the piano and let loose with this voice!
