This past summer, I went out for a few dates with Bedouin Soundclash in Alberta. I was driving my friend's truck, and it had a radio/cassette player. After a solid day with the radio, I decided it was time to hunt down some cassette tapes... The only two tapes I could find in a little store up in the Rockies were Lynyrd Skynyrd's Greatest Hits, and Woodie Guthrie. I listened to those a few times back to back...and again...but then I just started to sing songs out loud instead.

This is one of the songs I sang the most when I was out there, so I played it on the last night of tour... This is the Arcade Fire's song entitled Wake Up, also on the soundtrack of my favorite movie this year, Where the Wild Things Are.
