Great Pianists

Although I confess I have not yet heard any of Ms. Hanshaw's self-accompanied records, so am not familiar with her piano playing, I must defend Mr. Brodsky, who was one of the most influential and widely-recorded jazz pianists in New York in the 1920s. Don't knock what he's doing until YOU can play the exact same thing YOURSELF. I can't yet, and so won't. I really like what he plays on all of his records. Also, he was 25 years old when he recorded this!!!

This is just great! Sounds like even in these first records she had great mic technique. Didn't her voice record well? Why did she need this guy to play piano for her? She played just as good! Your professional titles and smart slide shows are so good they really excell the other big Hanshaw posters! Very enjoyable. Thanks!
