Our beautiful ANNETTE may be gone but never, never will be forgotten - the Whole World embraces her spirit - ALL HER recordings truly need a full CD Presentation - ALL of them, not just her hits.

I shall miss this gorgeous lady! I was one of thse young, love-struck guys who had a crush on her beautiful face and her curves! She never became corrupted by the lure of fame and always remained true to the Disney image of innocence! Unlike the so-called pop queens of today, Annette shall always reign as the "Queen of the Mickey Mouse Club!" Rest in Peace, Dear Angel Annette! We shall love you Forever!

I used to like the Beatles when they were new, but after awhile anything that was beatles had to be liked. Confession, I probably like a one or two of their early songs from each of their albums now. They played a major role in doing away with music like Annette, home grown musicians, garage bands, and most of all with dances that had specific names. Lets not forget the girl groups. They tried to take the grease out of American music, but sounds like Annette are still around, here to stay.

This has to have been the very first punk song!

this version is nearly better than the beatle version. if the beatles had not colonised u.s.a. in 1964, annette would have had a monster hit with this. it is nice to see she was moving on musically, slowly.

@skaha77 Good comment, although if someone transported ME from 1963 to the present, I would think I had died and gone to hell!

@SixTailights Which chords? If your talking about the strumming. He is double strumming. Move your wrist twice has fast as a regular down and up and down strum. Now do it real fast. Watch the video on my site of the Beatles doing it. Scan my favorites for the Beatles. Watch John doing it.

I love Annette ... but how about that guitar!? I can't tell how he changes chords so fast! I've been looking for this album but it's too expensive. Does anyone have "Little Blue Ballroom?" - it's supposed to be her stab at the Four Seasons' sound.

I AM fairly certain that her last album for Buena Vista was ANNETTE SINGS GOLDEN SURFIN HITS released in 1965. This song is of course from "Something Borrowed, Something Blue" released in 1964 to coincide with her upcoming marriage. I wish I could find a stereophonic copy, the LP copy I have is mono. ALL HER LP's need to have a CD Presentation for ANNETTE is truly on of a kind!
