I can see why Andy was called "Mr. Christmas" among so many other wonderful names. He really was Christmas. I had a dream of him. He was in this log cabin beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations. It reminded me of what Santa's house must have looked like. All through out the house you could hear Andy's beautiful voice singing Christmas songs and there I suddenly saw Andy. He said that "THIS" was his new gig (He had already died) living here and singing to God.

I know music and I know Andy Williams. My Dad was a professional musician, I grew up listening to great singers. My Dad the pro always said Frank was the best. Sorry Dad, no he wasn't. Iowa born Andy William has him beat. Henry Mancini's Moon River, awesome. Try to Remember..awesome. Danny Boy...same. But Holy Night, the Andy Williams version is his greatest song. It is beyond comparison. Remarkable talent. No comparison exists! We listen to Andy every week in our home. We are blessed and thankful to know his music. And let me add my compliments to the composer of this wonderful song, Holy Night. Lovely! Classic and more than stands the test of time. Stunning song and performance.

I'm not religious, but this is such a beautiful song sung by a truly great singer. I was unfortunate enough to hear a "soul" version of this recently and it was hard to believe it was the same song. Thankfully in the UK Andy Williams finally got the respect he deserved a few years before he passed. And it was during a tribute night on the BBC that i first heard this.

Our grandmothers were right about this man (and Perry Como). I feel lucky that I grew up in an era when tv producers still catered to all the grandmothers' good taste, even if it was only for a few weeks at Christmastime.
