Best naturally sweet voice on my records ever. So, I will enjoy his Lp on repeat as many times as it takes until I sing the songs with him like I love to do. My smile comes back on everytime I remember finding out in 2014 that HE wrote Sugar Sugar ,ahh their comes a smile. He sounds as good as pouring a new bag of sugar into the canister. Yup, definately thankful he chose to sing and made records.

On this day in 1968 {April 28th} Andy Kim's debut record, "How'd We Ever Get This Way", entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart at position #100; and on June 16th, 1968 it peaked at #21 {for 3 weeks} and spent 12 weeks on the Top 100...Between 1968 and 1974 he had twelve Top 100 hits; with two making the Top 10, "Baby, I Love You" {#9 in 1969} and "Rock Me Gently" {#1 for 1 week in 1974}...Not surprisingly, both "Baby, I Love You" and "Rock Me Gently" peaked at #1 in his native Canada...

I did hear about this being done and it makes sense. However, my 45 rip sounds like a different recording from the one off the album here.... I will try and get it posted in the next day or two and you can decide!

Most successful top 40 radio stations played records on turntables that were deliberately sped up a little. A 45 RPM single, for example, would usually play at somewhere around 46 1/2 RPM up to around 47 1/2 RPM (or even 48 RPM in some extreme cases). This was done to gain a competitive edge against other stations in the market. Once you get used to hearing something slightly sped up, it always sounds like it's dragging when you hear it at normal speed. That may be what's happening here.
