Well, If you don't recognize this melody, you probably have been living on another planet ;-) The Laurenzo Barcelata composition "Maria Elena" (published in 1932) was a big hit for Jimmy Dorsey and his Band in the early forties. Later, in the early sixties, it became a worldhit for the famous group "Los Indios Tabajaras". Here, Carroll Huxley wrote a fantastic arrangement for Andre "Kosty" Kostelanetz and His Orchestra. The rich instrumentation, combined with the superb arrangement, make that the listener gets to hear a most soothing piece of music, played by one of the best orchestras in the world.
