After listening to all the songs that were included on Re-Evolution with Heidi's voice, then with Capri's, I have to say Capri's voice fits the songs better. I didn't stumble across Amberian Dawn until recently. I'm an American, and no American radio stations play symphonic metal music. I had no preconceived notions about the former vs. the current singer. I just listened to the songs hearing them fresh. And in that context, I find that Capri's voice integrates with the rest of the music a little better.

I actually like this version quite a lot. Heidi does have a great opera voice, but I'm a fan of the more "powerful" feeling to Capri's voice. I think it fits really well with the epic sound to AD. They're both good in different ways.

I dont really see the arguments. The original was moody and beautiful, while this is a lot more tense and... war like.This is a very good redoing of the song. The female signers voice aint opera nor so epic, but it feels a lot stronger.

It's ok but the original was more softer which is what the song was suppose to sound like imo. Great singer, can't argue that.

I really don't understand what you all find similar between Anette and Capri ><" The two are both great in there way but just how can you compare Anette whose voice can sometimes miss power and Capri who's singing in a very powerfull voice all along the song !! And also don't understand the compare with Nightwish !! Tarja was fired and replace by the decision of the group, here Heidi left the group and they finded a new singer which is really good I think !! In Nightwish Anette took a long year to get use to the old songs, here you have a clear version of the old song, the style is completly different and that's a great think but it sound right and there's no big problems with the song, Capri isn't a copy of Heidi she's a singer and the fact she does the songs differently might evite that people compare

I really like Capri's voice better, is not about who is a better singer because they both are great, but I like this style better.

Big Nightwish fan here. I personally think Floor has delivered the best female vocals for the band since From Wishes to Eternity (the performance at Wacken this year, which will be officially released, is in my humble opinion significantly stronger than any show with Tarja during the Once tour). Anyway, different vocal styles aside I'd say Capri is clearly the better singer on a technical level. I adore Heidi's voice, and do miss it, but like Manuela Kraller she's not as good live as in studio.

mmm, she does sings very well but the epicness is lost, i don't think her voice is good for this kind of music, this sounds more like just another rock pop song ... bah, not to be bad, but is like nightwish and their whole Tarja left and Anette entered (now they have another one which is better than second still the epicness hasn't completely come back)... they keep on sounding good, but just good, not EPIC like before

Didn't know they got a new singer. After buying the first 3 albums I skipped Circus Black. Musicianship was good, singing was good, production was good...but other than a few tracks it all sounded the same. This new singer has a good voice as well, different to be sure. But it sounds like they can go in a new direction which might be good for the band/music. I played the video from 'Clouds' for my opera-singing neice...she said 'the singers ok, my voice is a lot better' :p
