I cant love both because I can't understand what the person sais when it's growled. And I don't like what its sound like. to my ear thats no singing and destroy the song for me. MY opinion. I'm openminded enough to say I try everything and decide after. But I could not find a growl/scream song that I like.

growling kills the melody; it suits heavy/black/death/ metal becuase of the great distortion and stuff. But if the girl/guy keeps growling throughout the song wen it comes to symphonic/proressive metal it pretty much ruins everything. Growling is one of those things which can add points to a song when used propertly or screw everything all together by abusing or misplacing it.

What's wrong with someone disliking female metal vocalists? I have to admit I don't quite like it either (sometimes) when a raw metal songs gets so 'calm' from adding a female vocalist to it, but anyways, I love this song and I love the female vocals in it :)

There are a lot of male fronted metal bands that don't scream/growl, much if at all. Suspyre is a band that is 99% scream/growl free, the 1 percent is for one song out of four albums and that one song isn't screamo all the way through. They tend to add other genres such as jazz or orchestral. Also look at all the bands Arjen is involved in, such as Ambeon (this band), Ayreon, Guilt Machine, and Star One. Mainly you just identify what genres are known for scream/growl and avoid bands use them.
