Alvin Stardust presumably on Top Of The Pops in 1974. A classic track from the glam era. This comes from a glam rock compilation video released in 1989.

I swear if they ever do a movie on Flame Rock again They should get Hugh Jackman to playing Alvin Stardust.

I would not class Alvin stardust as glam rock or put him on a glam rock compilation, he was more rock, he started his career in the the late 1950's and early1960's he was in a band called Shane Fenton and The Fentones, he always kept his rock and roll roots, Britains got talent.

Thanks so much for posting. There's no bigger fan of Alvin stardust than me. Wondered about his religion after seeing his birth last name!!!

It's now 2013, not 1974 and people's tastes change, it is a good song but the youth of today are more interested in the commercialized X factor crap than real talent.

Not a good song. This was a number one hit, but look at the views, barely 20,000.

stevie riks is a musical impersonator who captures Alvin's 73/74 "character" briliantly. However there is no reason why Alvin need be tied wholly to his former image, which was in fact already a development from his first Shane Fenton days

You're so right, he's amazing..I don't know AS but I saw this in related videos beside Stevie's impression & had to check it out. :)

I love the way he pushes past the two band members at the start!
